This past weekend was the 9th Annual Woodlawn Neighborhood Sale.I was out,by myself, and went to 55 sales.I bought several things and seen some friends,so I had a great time.At the 3rd sale,I hit the jackpot.I found a few things here. The first is 3 sets of cups and saucers by J & G Meakin,in the Anne Hathaway's Cottage,pattern($2.50).Also at this sale I got a Beatrix Potter's,"Hunca Munca"mother mouse and her 5 little mice,figure($1.00),a Viking Glasss, red glass goblet(.50),a gold mouse made of metal(.50)and a small metal rocking horse(.50).A couple of sales down the same street,I got a Moraff's Mahjogg PC game($1.00).The next sale, across the street,I got a Williamsburg Pottery pitcher(.25).About 5 or 6 sales latter,I found a Royal Albert trinket box with the Old Country Roses pattern($1.00)and 2 American Revolution Bicentenial metals($2.00).They are the 1972,George Washington and 1974,John Adams. After that find,I didn't find anything else for a while, but seen a couple of friends that I havn't seen in a while.Near the end of my day,I got a bottle of cologne for my wife(.10) and an elephant key chain(.10).On Sunday,my wife and I,went to 12 more sales. The only thing I bought was a Lenox dolphin(.10).It was a great weekend.I hope there will be more like this.I'll post a few pictures on the Recent Finds Page.I have a really great site for you this week.It is Radio Lovers. This site has radio shows of long ago, such as,Amos&Andy,Blondie,Al Jolson Show,Artur Godrey,Hopalong Cassidy,Gene Autry,Buck Rodgers,Batman and much more.Check this site out and have a great week.
